Wilfred George allanson

I was contacted in September 2013 by Dave Allanson who said that he was researching his grandfather's cousin, Wilfred George Allanson, who was in No. 7 Squadron RFC. He believes that Wilfred Allanson is seated at the bottom left of this photo. He supplied the following additional information:-

I made a search through Peter Wilson's Diary for mentions of Allanson, with the following results:-

19th April 1918.—Snow all morning. Up on Counter Attack Patrol with Allanson. No. 10 on opposite side of aerodrome with " Big Acks," they also have few stunts Bristol Fs.; lucky blighters. Sqdn. Office in Mobile Armstrong Hut.
15th June 1918.—On Counter Attack Patrol with Allanson. Coombe-Taylor invites me to dine at No. 10 Sqdn. Have to make a speech, damned nuisance and unnecessary.
