The metal legs of the tower were embedded directly into the concrete feet. On demolition, it seems they simply cut off the legs.
The loose concrete block with a metal hoop sticking out of its top in the middle of the picture may possibly be one of the weights used to tension the cables that supported the transmitting aerial.
The brick structure below the modern pylon at left is probably a pill box, but I did not explore it to check.
